Timbaland is going out of his way to apologize to Chris Brown over comments he made about his Aaliyah collaboration.

Timbaland claims he was in his feelings when he vented his frustration to Revolt TV over Brown’s posthumous collaborations with the late singer. Brown recorded previously unreleased vocals from Aaliyah for his song, Don’t Think They Know.

“In music, people always say I would do a song with Aaliyah,” Timbaland told Revolt TV. “It would never work. Chris Brown got a record, it won’t work. Drake [did] a record with Aaliyah, it ain’t gonna work ’cause Aaliyah music only work with its soulmate, which is me.”
