The rumors of a departure were true.

BET’s 106 & Park hosts Terrence J and Rosci Diaz officially announced they are leaving the network on Tuesday’s show. The duo revealed the news during a special segment.

“Here it goes, after an amazing seven years of being on this show, we have decided, together, that we will be soon leaving 106 and Park as your hosts,” said Terrence J. “This, by no means, has been an easy decision and it has come after a lot of prayer, a lot of thought and a lot of consideration.”

Rocsi fought back tears as she thanked God and the show’s fans for the opportunity to host the show.

“We’ve only been able to accomplish everything that it was because we’ve always put God first in our lives,” said Rocsi. “We had no idea, and we can’t even express how amazing the seven years has been. We appreciate you guys so much.”

No details were given on exactly when their last day as hosts will be but they promised a big farewell show is in the works. Former 106 & Park hosts Free and AJ also left the show together but both have occasionally returned to host different special events. Free is currently a radio personality in Washington, D.C., and AJ is a correspondent for Extra TV.

Terrence J indicated that he’d be more than willing to continue his relationship with BET. He said: “We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship. Ain’t no way we’re giving up the keys to the door, not just yet.”

Both hosts, who were unknowns before landing the job, are focused on their acting careers. Terrence has a budding acting career and just co-starred in the blockbuster movie, Think Like a Man. He recently was a guest host on E!News so many speculate that he may join the show.

Rocsi, who is also a host of a national syndicated radio show, wants to pursue an acting career. She is said to be packing up her bags and moving to Hollywood. The Honduran-Chilean has already scored a role in a project starring Lynn Whitfield, the New York Post reports. She has also been linked to Eddie Murphy.
