Spinderella Goes In On Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys & Other Celebrity DJs

Spinderella has had enough with celebrites becoming DJs.

The former DJ of Salt & Pepa has watched Beyonce sister Solange Knowles, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Rihanna all take turns spining at various parties and special events. Now, it seems she’s become frustrated with the new trend among performers. Spinderella wants them to stick to their day jobs.

Spinderella, who has been a DJ for 25 years, tweeted, “Djing is just a ‘trend’ now. artists jump on the bandwagon cause it’s the ‘in’ career move. what about real Djs that ‘bleed’ this culture?”

Rihanna is the latest to hop on the turntables. She spinned a few songs at LIV nightclub in Miami on Sunday night. Lil Wayne jumped on the turntables at a New Year’s Eve party in Miami. Kanye West also debuted his skills on New Years Eve as ‘YeezyWorldPeace’ at the grand opening of 1 OAK in Las Vegas.

Alicia Keys made her debut as DJ AK-47 at a party in New York last November. Erykah Badu, who is known as DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown, has been djing gigs for years. Solange began DJing parties when her singing career didn’t take off.

“First DJ Ak-47 (Alicia Keys) and now DJ wih wih wiggity Wayne? WTH who’s  next?
