Nelly’s Tour Bus Raided: Heroin, Weed & Loaded Gun Found! [Details]

Nelly was detained by police in Texas after a search of his tour bus found drugs and a gun.

Nelly’s tour bus was searched at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca on Wednesday night. A source told TMZ that 36 small baggies of heroin (totaling .64 ounces), ten pounds of marijuana inside a large green duffel bag and a loaded .45 caliber pistol were found on the bus.

Seven passengers that included Nelly were aboard the bus at the time. They were all detained during the search. Once the illegal items were found, passenger Brian Keith Jones allegedly said the illegal items were his.

Nelly released a statement:

“It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning, October 11th.

Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials in Sierra Blanca, Texas did not press charges against anyone other than that individual.”

Jones was arrested and Nelly and the remaining passengers were let go. Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and Fiona Apple have all been busted for drugs at the same checkpoint.
