Miami Heat guard Lebron James gave Boston Celtics star Kevin Garnett a dose of his own medicine.

Garnett plays with heart but he also plays with his mouth. He always tries to have the last word in a game with his notorious nasty month. But Garnett brings the intensity and energy, regardless of circumstance. So it came as a surprise when he was on the other end of it by King James.

Late in the fourth quarter of Miami Heat’s 93-79 victory in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, fans could see Garnett mouth going a mile a minute with jabs while James had the ball. But James didn’t back down as he usually does.

Instead of unleashing vulgar words back, James simply shouted,”Yeaaah. Yeaaah, Yeaaaaah…” The NBA’s Most Valuable Player left Garnett, speechless. The Heat got the best of the Celtics. It was nothing he could do.

Outside Garnett’s locker room on Monday, someone asked him: Had the Heat been “showboating” at the end of Game 1?

“A little bit, a little bit,” Garnett said. “They’re comfortable, and when you’re comfortable, you do things like that.”

Of course, who would know better about showboating then him. Heat leads the series 1-0. Your move Garnett.
