Nail Polish Addict: Scoop on Sally Hansen Fall Nail Color Collection

Rucuss staffSeptember 14, 2011

Women take pride in their nails, much as they take pride in their hair or clothes.

They prefer to have their nail painted. So when new nail colors hit the scene women jump at the chance to try them. Nails provide a platform to decorate hands and add to the overall appearance of a woman.

Scrangie has put together an informative review of Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure Nail Color Collection for the fall. Please take a look:

THINK: Coveted fall polishes, fresh off the runway.

WHAT THEY ARE: Your complete nail color wardrobe for fall.

Nail leader Sally Hansen took New York Fashion Week by storm joining forces with Tracy Reese, Prabal Gurung, Rachel Roy, J. Mendel and Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia to create exclusive nail colors to complement each of their runway collections, while designer Naeem Khan used a classic Sally Hansen polish.

With a vast array of shades, textures and finishes, Sally Hansen’s limited edition fall collections and a timeless favorite offer all the fashion-forward nail looks you’ll crave this season.  The designers looked to two of Sally Hansen’s top nail technologies, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure and Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips.

Complete Salon Manicure is an all-in-one formula that combines the components of a professional salon manicure—base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, rich color and top coat in a single multi-tasking polish. Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips are an easy and affordable at-home nail technology that puts bold color, high- shine, and intricate design at your fingertips—just peel, apply, file, and go.

Tracy Reese joined forces with Sally Hansen for the eleventh consecutive season to create six bold shades and rich metallics that mirror the designer’s opulent fall aesthetic. On the runway, models wore Complete Salon Manicure in Shiny Penny, a rich bronze, and Oxide, a gunmetal grey.

Prabal Gurung’s five-color Complete Salon Manicure collection features eye-catching brights and creamy pale hues with an edge that reflect the designer’s fall aesthetic—Victorian romance with a dark undercurrent. On Prabal Gurung’s fall runway, models sported Crinoline, the palest of pink, topped with flecks of black for an Asian inspired design.

Rachel Roy enlisted Sally Hansen to create a rich neutral nail that suits all skin tones for her eclectic, 70s-inspired fall collection. The result? Terracotta, a creamy toffee Complete Salon Manicure shade— the perfect accent to Roy’s pattern-heavy, layered looks.

Echoing J. Mendel’s signature sophistication, Sally Hansen created Mousseline, a custom sheer cream Complete Salon Manicure polish to complement the luxe furs and structured pieces J. Mendel sent down the runway.

The look at Naeem Khan was pure opulence with beading, ostrich feathers, embroidery and plenty of sparkle. The designer turned to classic Complete Salon Manicure shade, Pat on the Black—a rich glossy aubergine in keeping with the luxe eveningwear collection.

Fun and feminine Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet teamed up with Sally Hansen for two custom nail looks to accompany designer Stacey Bendet’s party-ready fall separates. Bendet used Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in Autumn Violet, a regal purple and Liquid Metal, a glam grey-black.
