Miley Cyrus Talks About VMA Performance, Admits She’s ‘F**ked Up!’

Miley Cyrus admits that she didn’t put too much thought into her MTV Video Music Awards performance.
The Former Disney star simply wanted to make history. Most are leaning to worse performances in history, but not Miley. She believes her performance was in the category as Madonna and Britney Spears and other greats through the years.
Last week, three days after her raunchy twerk performance, Cyrus sat down with MTV to film a segment for the documentary she’s working on with the network, and brushed aside critiques of the VMAs appearance.
“How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?,” Miley said. “Madonna’s done it. Britney’s done it. Every VMA performance, that’s what you’re looking for; you’re wanting to make history… Me and Robin [Thicke] the whole time said, ‘You know we’re about to make history right now.”
Cyrus continued, “What’s amazing is I think now, we’re three days later and people are still talking about it. They’re over thinking it. You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn’t even think about it ’cause that’s just me.”
While recording her upcoming album Bangerz, which is due out later on this year, she also gave a candid interview with Sunday People. She reportedly told the U.K. paper that she’s had a “messed up” life. She claims she’s a workaholic and is all about the music.
“I have so many f**king issues,” Cyrus allegedly told Sunday People. “I am so f**ked up -– everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up. I don’t have a normal life. I take a hiatus every now and again, but I’m not good at that.”
Cyrus also said that she rarely sleeps, but that the lack of shut-eye doesn’t affect her.
“All I do is work, so I eat to live and to keep going,” Miley said. “People are impressed with me because I can sleep for just 45 minutes — I’m used to it.”
Cyrus said her diet and exercise routine is non-existent.
“Because I work so much, I’m always on the road so I eat healthily,” she added. “I have to give my body what it needs to keep going and if you don’t then you will crash and burn. I don’t get to work out. I do yoga and 30 push-ups every day and try to get my mind right.”
