Lindsay Lohan Enters Morningside Rehab Facility! [Details]

Lindsay Lohan is back in rehab.

But the Liz & Dick star is not in a facility that the court has approved. Lohan’s lawyer Mark Heller announced the news on her behalf at a hearing Thursday morning. Lohan entered Morningside Recovery, a live-in treatment center in Newport Beach, Calif.

This came as a surprise to Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White and Judge James Dabney because Morningside was not a locked facility, which was a requirement of her plea deal. According to E! News, White told the court that on April 9 a facility in New York had been chosen after his office gave its stamp of approval and spoke to the executive director with the requirements prosecutors needed.

“We thought that was the facility we were going to use,” White replied. “Now I start hearing that she is going to another facility.”

Heller claimed Lohan ended up at Morningside because the New York facility did not want paparazzi surrounding its facilities.

“The facilities do not want to have paparazzi…so I explored another facility that had not been disclosed, spoke to director of that facility,” said Heller.

The judge set the next court date for May 10 for the City Attorney to investigate whether the program complies with his office. If White decides it doesn’t, then a hearing has been tentatively scheduled for May 13.

White said that if his office finds Morningside doesn’t meet the requirements, he’ll ask the court to have her start her rehab all over again somewhere else.

UPDATE: Although Lohan’s lawyer told the judge the actress was in the facilty, E! News confirmed that she is not there. While the car transporting Lohan to the facility pulled up to it, she never got out of the vehicle. Lohan left soon after and is not presently there.
