Lil Boosie addressed his fans at a post-prison press conference in New Orleans on Monday.

Less than a week after being released, the Baton Rouge rapper spoke to the press during the #BoosieSpeaks event presented by Atlantic Records and Trill Entertainment. Dressed in all white and sunglasses, Boosie took a seat in a throne alongside The Breakfast Club host Angela Yee.

“They said I had more release dates than Jordan,” Boosie joked. “Right now, it feels like some good dreams I had in jail. I’m just really enjoying the moment, being with my family, all of the people who looked out for me, all of the people who loved me.”

During the interview, he revealed that he wrote 1,018 songs while incarcerated, including “a hit for Justin Bieber.”

Boosie, who had been behind bars for 52 months for a drug conviction, is currently working on a new album for Trill Entertainment and Atlantic Records and plans to tour.

Boosie’s mother, a retired principal, also thanked the crowd before his three lawyers discussed his legal issues. They confirmed that he has served all his time for criminal offenses and is currently on probation for four more years.

Boosie was also joined by Bun B, Jeezy, and Webbie at the press conference.

“I feel like I got more fans because of social media,” Boosie said. He ended the conference by thanking his supporters.

“I just want to thank everybody for coming to this event, showing me love,” he said. Watch the full press conference below.
