LeAnn Rimes Enters 30-Day Treatment Center! [Details]

LeAnn Rimes has checked herself into a in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress.

Rimes checked into the facility a day after her 30th birthday on Wednesday. A representative released a statement to People on the singer’s behalf, “LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be  speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms.”

Rimes also issued a statement in her own words.

“This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can  be,” the country singer said. “All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much. I’ll have the tools to know how to deal them.”

Rimes enters rehab on the heels of a her going off on a fan on Twittter a few weeks ago. Rimes felt compelled to defend herself after a woman with the Twitter name of LauraJames00 tweeted, “@Kellilleslie @leannrimes She cheated with Ed & broke up her marriage & his. Far as I’m concerned that ship has sailed & they need 2 move on.”

Rimes defended her marriage to Eddie Cibrian with the tweet, “correction…we broke up our own marriages.” She later added,”cause people have nothing better to do than judge something they know nothing about.”

Rimes, who later blocked the fan on Twitter, and Cibrian met on the set of the made-for-TV movie Northern Lights in 2009. Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet and Cibrian was married to Brandi Glanville.
