Although he revealed plenty details about his personal life, he didn’t answer questions about his daughter North West. But he did reveal he wanted her to only have one name, North, and no last name, but Kim was against it.

Check out excerpts from the interview below.

On Louis Vuitton: “If I had the opportunity to design for Louis Vuitton now, I wouldn’t because the prices is just too extreme, and I don’t want to use my message to have kids saving up that much to be a part of what the ideas are.”

On fashion: “I’m the most influential person in fashion of the past 10 years.”

On his influence: “I ain’t Michael Jackson. I’m not just a musician, I’m a Christian, revolutionary, visionary, products person. I ain’t here to dance for you. I ain’t hear to do a two step. … Ten years from now, I just want to create for the church, period. I’ll design the new Sistine Chapel.”

On not having a phone for three years: “I didn’t have a phone for three years. When I got my phone it was when I saw Kim on the Internet with Kris Humphries. I was trying to call her from Abu Dhabi where we were at, recording a Pusha T album.[…] I wanted to marry that girl from the first time I saw her and I just had to wait through a bunch of relationships trying to get my chance.”

On waiting on Kim and settling for being her friend first: “Yeah I was her friend. It’s just patience. Certain things it’s like, ‘Yo, this is what’s right for me’ and this is what I should be doing. You gotta speak about, express it in songs. “Lost in a World,”  I wrote this poem to her and it ended up being “Lost in a World.”

On his over-the-top proposal at San Francisco’s AT&T Park: “I gotta apologize to the race of males for turning up so much.”

On the 15-carat diamond engagement ring he gave to Kim: “She knew I was eventually going to ask her to marry me, but I just had to get that ring right. I worked with four different jewelers. Three rings were made. Only one actually hit the finger with Lorraine [Schwartz]. She came through. That ring was less than four hours old by the time I gave it to her.”

On his wedding: “Hopefully next summer. For me, it ain’t no surprises. All I know is fighter jets, man.”

On Kim’s talent at being beautiful: “[…] In my industry, beauty is a talent. You know, ‘What is she talented at?’ She’s talented at being beautiful. If you go to a club and it’s a bunch of beautiful girls, you might say, ‘It’s a bunch of talent in here.’”

On the paparazzi: “They help me to influence. At any point, if I want to talk directly to the public, I can use that outlet too. … I should be respected to the highest level at this point for what I’ve been able to accomplish at this age.”
