K. Michelle isn’t feeling Iggy Azalea’s music.

The Can’t Raise a Man singer hates her music so much that she vented about it on social media. K. Michelle went on Twitter and questioned the Australian rapper by tweeting: “How can you be from another country and rap like you’re from Memphis TN? But u don’t hear me though #offended.” Azalea’s single Fancy is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

K. Michelle’s statement rubbed celebrity gossip columnist Perez Hilton the wrong way and he threw some shade back for Azalea. Hilton jumped in: “I think you chose the wrong hashtag and meant to say #jealous instead! X.” K. Michelle fired back, “You’re 1 of the OLD girls, no one has been checking 4u since Lady Gaga disowned u. I said what I said!”
It led to a war of words. Check out the entire exchange below.

K Michelle: Please use ur bought followers& do everybody some good. Stop licking ass 2b a cool kid.

Perez: I’m a fan of good music and an early champion of @IGGYAZALEA. You’re on a reality show and jealous of her musical success. #Fact

Perez: Right! Your music is too great to top the charts, though. Go on with your flawed logic! Did Iggy turn you down for a feature? Ha!

K Michelle: Now I’m going 2go heal sum hearts, u should do the same. P.S I like you better with the pink hair and ur 4 chins

Perez: Heal on! I’m gonna go research your songs now. I don’t know a single one. Maybe I’ll like your music most people don’t know! xoxo

K Michelle: Logs off. I have spoken

K. Michelle does have a point. But Azalea has a good explanation for her Southern accent.

“I lived in the South for five years; you pick up things from your surroundings and teachers,” Azalea told Pop Manifesto. “The people who taught me to rap are all from the South and so was the music I had listened to as a teen.”

Azalea, whose speaking voice still sounds Australian, left school and moved to the United States at 16 years old to pursue her music career.

“To be 100 per cent honest, I don’t have any friends in Australia, just my family,” Azalea said. “I identify with Australian culture, of course; I was raised there. But there are parts of other cultures I identify with more, which is why I moved.”
