Jay Z Responds to Lil Wayne Diss

Jay Z has no problem showing Cash Money his bank accounts.

But it will cost them. The rapper laughed off comments made by Birdman that Lil Wayne has more money and is a better lyricist. Jay Z thought that whose a better lyricist is a matter of opinion but who has more money is factual.

“As far as money, that’s a little more accurate,” he told Hot97. “You can determine that. I have no problem (showing bank accounts) but its going to cost. Put it up. If he’s that confident, I give him a little glimpse, its crazy!

Forbes ranked Jay-Z at the top of hip-hop’s top earners in 2011 with $37 million. Wayne was ranked fourth with $15 million.

The beef between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne began when Jay dissed Baby in the song “H.A.M.” off “Watch The Throne,” which is an album he released with Kanye West.

Jay-Z said: “I’m like really half a billion n****, really you got baby money/Keep it real with n****s, n****s ain’t got my lady money.”

Here’s Lil Wayne’s verse from “It’s Good” off the Carter IV: “Talk about Baby money, I got your baby money/Kidnap your b****, get that how much you love your lady money.”

Lil Wayne recently commented that he didn’t believe any repercussions would come from the beef.

“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” Wayne said. “I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction…I’m not going to say I don’t know what would happen before I even say [something on record]. I do know what will happen. I’m aware of it. But it is what it is.”
