Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Star Janet Hubert Says Will Smith Is An As*hole!

There’s a reason Janet Hubert wasn’t part of the recent Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion.

Hubert, who played the first Vivian Banks, hates Will Smith. She’s still upset with the way she was fired from the show in 1993. Hubert, who was replaced by actress Daphne Reid, blames the whole thing on Smith.

“There will never be a reunion … as I will never do anything with an as*hole like Will Smith,” Hubert told TMZ this weekend. “He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.”

Smith was recently photographed with former costars Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Alfonso Riberio and James Avery at a charity event. Hubert and several other cast members were not present in the photo. But now we know Hubert’s absence was not a clash in schedules.

Family guy: Will Smith looked delighted to be spending time with his old Fresh Prince chums, from left Tatyana Ali (who played Ashley Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) and James Avery (Philip)

Many fans hoped the photo would spark an on-air reunion of the show. Smith even posted a photo of their get together on Facebook, writing “Got the Holiday season started right with a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ reunion…there’s nothin’ like spending Holidays with fam!”

Smith refutes reports that he was to blame for Hubert’s firing in 1993. He said her attitude caused her demise.

“I can say straight up that Janet Hubert wanted the show to be ‘The Aunt Viv of Bel Air Show’ because I know she is going to dog me in the press,” he told an Atlanta radio station. “She has basically gone from a quarter of a million dollars a year to nothing. She’s mad now but she’s been mad all along. She said once, I’ve been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.’ No matter what, to her I’m just the AntiChrist.”
