Fashion Designer Karl Lagerfeld Says Singer Adele is ‘Too Fat!’

German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld shared his brutally honest opinion about pop singer Adele and her figure in a recent interview.

While Lagerfeld is a fan of Adele’s voice, but he’s not impress by her body. The outspoken Chanel designer believes Adele is ‘a little too fat.’ In the past the designer has taken jabs at overweight women. Back in 2009, Lagerfeld said, “No one wants to see curvy women.”

Under heavy scrutiny by the media for his comments, Lagerfeld showcased plus-size models in photo shoots that year. But apparently, he didn’t learn from his weight comments. He’s back talking about size again.

“The thing at the moment is Adele, ” Lagerfeld told telling the Metro today. “She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.”

The 78-year-old’s opinion on Adele was brought up when asked about his thoughts on new American singer and songwriter Elizabeth Grant, better known by her stage name, Lana del Rey.

“I prefer Adele and Florence Welch,” he said. “But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Lana del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She’s not alone with implants.”

Lagerfeld also gave his two cents about M.I.A. flipping the bird during the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

“Nowadays people give the middle finger quite quickly — it’s not the best behavior,” he said. “Everybody does that, what’s new about that? It’s just become a bad habit. People in magazines are 50 percent bimbo and 50 percent pregnant women.”

We’re guessing if Lagerfeld wanted to showcase Adele in a photo shoot, she would flip him the bird.
