Houston Rockets star Dwight Howard reached his boiling point with an opposing fan on Wednesday night.
The incident began with three minutes remaining in the game with the Rockets ahead 116-111. After Howard was fouled by Dallas Maverick’s Jose Calderon, the ball wound up back in his hands and that’s when things got a little heated.
A Dallas Mavericks fan who was sitting courtside appeared to yell something at him. Howard then turned around and tossed the ball in the fan’s direction. The referees instantly slapped him with a technical foul.
Luckily, it wasn’t a hard toss. The fan retaliated by throwing the ball back in his direction. In the end, Yahoo reports Howard was fined $25,000 for the toss and the Rockets lost 123-120. Check out the incident below.
