Macklemore wasn’t the only rapper Drake gave some harsh criticism to during his interview with Rolling Stone.

The Started From the Bottom rapper slammed Kanye West for some of his lyrics on album Yeezus. But he did admit that he idolizes West.

“There were some real questionable bars on there,” he told Rolling Stone’s Jonah Weiner. “Like that ‘Swaghili’ line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn’t say some shit like that.”

After the shade, Drake made sure he gave Yeezy his props. “Kanye’s the reason I’m here. I love everything about that guy,” he said.

But he did admit that he idolizes the Chicago MC. “Kanye’s the reason I’m here. I love everything about that guy,” he said.

After the quotes were published, Drake fired back at the magazine on Twitter. While he did not deny making the statements, he hinted that his comments were off the record.

Drake also put Macklemore on blast for sharing his conversation with Kendrick Lamar.

After winning four awards at the Grammys last month, Macklemore sent an apologetic message to Kendrick. “You got robbed,” he wrote in a text, which he shared on Instagram. “I wanted you to win.”

Drake, who also competed in the same category, didn’t like the gesture.

“That shit was wack as fuck,” Drake said. “I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better—make better music.’”

Drake added, “It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?”
