Drake, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar Leads 2013 BET Awards Nominations [Details]

Drake may get plenty of exercise, walking up and down the stairs at the 2013 BET Awards.

Drake leads the nominations with 12 at this year’s show. The Young Money artist is nominated five times in the Video of the Year category for his own singles Started From the Bottom and the Lil Wayne-assisted HYFR, plus collaborations with Kendrick Lamar (Poetic Justice), 2 Chainz (No Lie), and A$AP Rocky (Fu**in’ Problems).

In that same category, Drake is up against Rihanna’s Diamonds, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z’s Suit & Tie, Kanye West’s Mercy, Miguel’s Adorn, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Thrift Shop.

Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz each picked up eight nominations, A$AP Rocky has five, and Miguel grabs four.  Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, and Miguel earn three apiece.

Chris Tucker will host, while Brown and R. Kelly are confirmed as performers during the show  at the Nokia Theater on June 30. See the full list of 2013 nominees below.
