Donald Sterling continues to put his foot in his mouth.

The Los Angeles Clippers owner recently sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper and discussed his racist comments that he made while on the phone with his girlfriend. He apologized for the racist remarks.

But then things got awkward when he began to slam Magic Johnson.

“The only one I’ve talked to is Magic Johnson — twice,” Sterling told Cooper. “He knew the girl. He knew the girl well. If I said anything wrong, I’m sorry. He’s a good person and he…”

Sterling began to refute claims made by the ‘girl’ in question. Before Sterling’s interview aired, his girlfriend Vanessa Stiviano said she never met Johnson prior to taking a photo with him and posting on Instagram. That move made Sterling angry enough to go on his racial rant.

“What am I gonna say?” Sterling asked. “Has he done everything he can do to help minorities? I don’t think so. But I’ll say it, you know, he’s great. I just don’t think he is a good example for the children of Los Angeles.”

Sterling: What has he done, can you tell me? Big Magic Johnson, what has he done?

Cooper: Well, he’s a business person…

Sterling: He’s got AIDS. Did he do any business? Did he help anyone in South LA?

Cooper: Well I think he has HIV. He doesn’t actually have full-blown AIDS.

Sterling: Well, what kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about? I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn’t do anything.

Sterling obviously does not like Johnson. Watch footage of some of the interview below. The second half of the interview airs Tuesday night.
