David Beckham Wants to Buy Liz Taylor Jewels for Wife

David Beckham, is prepared to spend up to $4 million on jewelry for his wife from the collection of the late actress Elizabeth Taylor. According to the Daily Star, Beckham is desperate to get his hands on the jewelry, which includes a 33.19 carat diamond ring worth more than $2 million.

Taylor, known for her fabulous jewels, died in March at age 79. Her jewelry, art, designer clothing and other memorabilia will sold at the auction on Dec. 13-16 at Christie’s in New York. The items will tour the country for two months before the auction.

A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition admissions and publications related to the sales will be donated to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Beckham and Victoria, formerly know as Posh Spice, have been married since 1999. They have four children.

“The Elizabeth Taylor Diamond is a 33.19 carat, D color, VS1 clarity diamond. Richard Burton gave Taylor the ring, which is estimated to be worth $2,500,000-$3,500,000.

Taylor’s “The Mike Todd Tiara,” is estimated at $60,000-$80,000.

Part of a Suite of Kunzite, amethyst and diamond “Triphanes” jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels is estimated at $70,000-$100,000.

Taylor’s diamond, emerald and gold “Snake” bracelet watch by Bulgari (circa 1961) is estimated at $12,000-$15,000.

Taylor’s diamond and multi-colored sapphire “Ball” ear clips by JARS are estimated at $100,000-$150,000.

Taylor’s gold and ivory necklace featuring ivory opera passes is from circa 18th and 19th centuries was a gift from the estate of Edith Head. The necklace is valued at $1,500-$2,000.

Taylor’s diamond, emerald and gold “Snake” bracelet watch by Bulgari (circa 1961) is estimated at $12,000-$15,000.

Taylor’s ruby and diamond necklace was a gift from Mike Todd. It is estimated at $200,000-$300,000.
