Chris Brown and Kris and Bruce Jenner are the latest celebrities to fall victim to pranksters.

Brown and the Jenners are amongst a growing number of celebrities that are being targeted by pranksters in a dangerous and illegal game that involves someone contacting the police and reporting false information. The pranksters hope the calls lure emergency response units to celebrities’ homes. It’s coined the phrase ‘swatting.’

Three helicopters and a swat team surprised the Jenners at their home after a prankster called the police and said someone was shot there over the weekend. Kenall Jenner posted photos of Bruce and the cops who arrived to the scene.

Kim Kardashian went on a Twitter to voice her frustration about the incident.

“Just got a call from my mom telling me about this prank call that someone was shot in their home and 15 swat team and 3 helicopters showed up!,” Kim tweeted. “These prank calls are NOT funny! People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. Its dangerous and not a joke!”

Meanwhile Brown’s staff was surprised by cops at his door on Monday evening. Pranksters said a domestic violence incident was taking place at the singer’s home. Brown was not there. Moments after Brown told police that it was a prank caller he voiced his frustration on Instagram.

It may seem funny at the time, but if a prank caller is caught it may lead to fines of up to $1,000 and six months in jail. A 12-year-old boy has been charged in connection with prank calls involving Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher.
