Chris Brown was arrested early Sunday outside a Washington D.C. hotel and charged with felony assault.
Brown and Christopher Hollosy were allegedly involved in a “physical altercation” with an unidentified man just before 4:30 a.m. in front of the W Hotel, according to a police department spokesman, Officer Anthony Clay.
TMZ reports Brown got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel and allegedly punched him once in the face. The man never threw a punch. Chris and the alleged victim did not know each other.
The fight began after two women approached Brown and asked to take a picture with him. As the photo was about to be taken, two men rushed over to get in the photo. Chris allegedly said, “I’m not into this gay s**t, I’m into boxing,” and threw a punch at the alleged victim. The fight was then taken to the ground.
The victim told TMZ Chris broke his nose and he may need surgery as early as Monday morning. He confirmed he and a friend photo bombed the two women who were taking a picture with Brown when Chris went nuts.
The victim claims he’s not a Chris Brown fan and was just hanging with a couple of girls at the hotel when he saw the singer outside. The victim said he would have accepted an apology at the scene, but now he will absolutely press charges and he already has a lawyer.
Brown and Hollosy are expected to remain in custody pending a court appearance Monday, according to D.C. Police spokesman Paul Metcalf.
Before the incident, Brown performed Saturday night at a Howard University homecoming-related party at The Park at Fourteenth nightclub.
