Young Money/Cash Money Records were honored at the 2013 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards on Thursday night.

Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams were named BMI Icons at the star-studded event at the Manhattan Center in New York City. Birdman and Slim, who co-founded Cash Money Records in 1991, received an all-star tribute, which included performances by Kevin Rudolf, DJ Khaled, Mystikal, Future, Curren$y, Ace Hood, Busta Rhymes, Turk, Mannie Fresh, and Juvenile.

“I dedicate my soul and my life and I wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t for Dwayne motherfuckin’ Carter,” said Birdman as Lil Wayne stood behind him. “One thing  that you see with us, you see loyalty.”

Nicki Minaj and Benny Blanco shared the award for Songwriter of the Year. Minaj’s Starships earned Song of the Year honors. Trina paid homage to her fellow femcee by covering Moment 4 Life. Afterwards, Minaj tweeted, ““@TRINArockstarr killed it.”
