Rapper Azealia Banks was not pleased with XXL’s freshmen class list of rappers.

The 5th Freshmen special includes Machine Gun Kelly, Roscoe Dash, French Montana and Danny Brown on the cover. Iggy Azalea also made the cut as the first female rapper to be featured. Well, technically the magazine wanted to feature Nicki Minaj last year but she passed, because she thought she was ‘too big of an artist’ for the newcomer list.

Many have congratulated Iggy on her accomplishment, but not Banks. The up and coming rapper had a few choice words for her.

Banks tweeted:

“Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong. How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a ‘runaway slave master’?”

“Sorry guys. But I’m pro black girl. I’m not anti white girl, but I’m also not here for any1 outside of my culture trying to trivialize very serious aspects of it.”

Banks thought Iggy disrespected black people in her song called “D.R.U.G.S.”

Iggy didn’t respond to Banks directly but she did have a message for people who didn’t agree with XXL magazine decision. Iggy tweeted:

“You can’t block my blessings! Today I’m celebrating! Get with it or kick rocks! First female freshman. Ever. Period. Thanks world! I used to stick XXL on my bedroom door, now I’m on the cover. Life is great.”

Banks didn’t respond to Iggy’s sublminal tweet. But she had already moved on to the next female rapper at that point.

Banks tweeted about Nicki Minaj, “The butt, the hair, the this, the that, all the other shit, like… As much respect that I have for her, we’ve seen you do this already, what else can you do?”

Then she tweeted about Kreayshawn, “You’re a dumb bitch. And you can’t rap. I’ll sit on your face. … Fall back slut.”
