2 Chainz managed to make his mark in the fashion community this holiday season.

Tity Boi capitalized on the ‘dabbin’ craze with his on sweater line. Chainz revealed that he made more than $2 million in sales from his Dabbin Santa sweaters, Forbes reports.

Chainz employed more than 70 people who helped meet the demand. But he admitted that timing played as big a role with the success of the sweaters. He said his company made different attempts with designs before finally making their mark. Dos Necklaces and his creative team managed to latch on to the Dab trend and the ugly sweater concept just in time for the holidays.

It also didn’t hurt that he had celebrity support from Snoop Dogg, Miley Cyrus and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

“I don’t want people to think this was an overnight success,” Chainz said. “We’ve been trying with a bunch of designs for a couple years now. This is just timing meets opportunity. There’s the whole dab thing, and Atlanta’s always been somewhere that actually moves the culture a little bit. We have been the backbone of hip-hop for the past couple years. So, with dabbing coming out of Atlanta, it just began to grow legs and start moving on its own.”

With the money Chainz earned, he was able to help families in need through his T.R.U. Foundation. Chainz was able to buy one family a minivan so that their brain-damaged son could get to hospital visits. He also paid  disabled vet family’s rent for a year.

“I’ve had a foundation for some time. My girl and I, we’ve been trying to figure out a way to be active within the community. This was a great way to do it.”
